Registration/payments for the virtual conference are due by Oct. 16 to participate in the virtual event.

In-Person Workshops - October 10
NO REFUNDS will be given for in-person classes unless you are ill and need to remain at home. No refunds are available for the virtual conference.
Thanks for your patience and understanding as we navigate events in 2020. We hope you will be able to participate in this event.
Both in-person workshops on October 10 start at 9 am. They are located at the Savannah Riverfront Marriott, 100 General McIntosh Blvd, Savannah, GA. Check-in will begin at 8:15 am. EVERYONE will need to stop by the GEMSA registration table in the pre-function area outside the Savannah Ballroom to pick up a scanning badge to get credit.To comply with hotel guidelines, all guests of any Marriott hotel must wear face coverings in all public indoor spaces including Hotel restaurants, bars, and public areas as well meeting and event areas including during the workshops.

The virtual conference kicks off Sunday, October 11 at 8:00 AM (EDT). Sunday morning, you have two options for pre-conference sessions. The main conference will kick-off at 12 pm with a Welcome and our keynote presentation. The final session will conclude Tuesday, October 13 at 12:15 pm. Educational tracks include: educators, providers and leadership. You need to attend sessions and the exhibit hall, Oct. 11-13 to be eligible for giveaways. Remember: If you cannot attend all the sessions Oct. 11-13, you will have an additional 30 days after the event to view the classes or other breakout sessions on your own time.
Below are some important details to get you ready for your virtual conference experience.
We know you’re eager to check out the virtual platform! You will receive a separate email on Friday, October 9 with a login link.
We encourage you to log in and preview the experience on that Friday & Saturday so that you’re ready to go when the conference starts. Sessions will not be live or accessible until their scheduled times. (Don't forget: If you haven't paid your fees, payment is due before you will get access to the platform.)
You can view the full Virtual Agenda here, along with session descriptions and speaker bios. In the virtual platform, you can add sessions or meetings to your own personal agenda to receive reminders about each session.
The GEMSA Conference Experience will work best with Chrome 30+ and will use zoom. If you don’t have a zoom account, you can sign up for one for free at https://zoom.us/.
Our Online Help Desk will be available throughout the event to address any questions you may have. If you have any questions prior to the start of the conference, please feel free to email email@example.com.
EMS CE hours are approved by the Georgia Office of EMS/Trauma.
Nursing CE hours are being provided by ASTNA for the virtual conference.
Start and watch a live or recorded session until the end (remember – you must be “PRESENT” in each session for the minimum time of 50 minutes). You also have to fill out a session evaluation or you will not receive credit.
If you cannot attend all the sessions Oct. 11-13, you will have an additional 30 days after the event to view the classes or other breakout sessions on your own time. This allows you to get additional CE hours from this event. The event will conclude on November 13 and all session evaluations must be complete by that date for you to receive credit. After the conclusion of the event, we will email out certificates.
Participation certificates with complete CE information are available for those sessions you started and watched until the end (remember – you must be “PRESENT” in each session for the minimum time required). You will receive an email with a link to your printable certificate/transcript for all sessions completed on or before November 30, 2020. You have 90 days after the conference to print your certificate online.
Please note that all sessions will be uploaded to the state GEMSIS system by GEMSA. We are hoping to have this completed by November 30 as well. Please keep a copy of the certificate for your records, but there is no need to upload your sessions.
A virtual exhibit hall will be available as part of the virtual event. On October 11-12 during exhibitor breaks, you can visit with exhibitors in their virtual booth, chat with representatives LIVE, schedule a private meeting with them, view product/service materials, and more. This is still a great time to see the latest in products and services for EMS!
Check out the Race for Prizes tab in the virtual platform to see how to earn points, check out your points, and see who is on the leaderboard. Points are given for actions like visiting exhibit booths, scheduling a meeting with an exhibitor, downloading materials, uploading a profile photo, and more. Prizes will be awarded for the top 10 people on the leaderboard at the end of the live virtual conference event on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Watch for more details on what you can win!
